Acts-10:34 – Then Peter began to speak: “I now truly understand that God does not show favoritism, 35but welcomes those from every nation who fear Him and do what is right. 36He has sent this message to the people of Israel, proclaiming the gospel of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

37You yourselves know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee with the baptism that John proclaimed: 38how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

39We are witnesses of all that He did, both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem. And although they put Him to death by hanging Him on a tree, 40God raised Him up on the third day and caused Him to be seen— 41not by all the people, but by the witnesses God had chosen beforehand, by us who ate and drank with Him after He rose from the dead. 42And He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that He is the One appointed by God to judge the living and the dead. 43All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His name.”

Upper Room Challenge

Can you find the verses of scripture in the Bible to confirm your profession of faith?

Is your faith built on the “teaching” of a “priest or pastor”

ORhave you read the Scriptures for yourself and believed the Word of God?

Are you trusting in a doctrine or theology (religion) handed down by man or relying on the Bible alone?

OR – are you trusting in the Living Word, Yeshua/Jesus Himself as you walk in relationship with Him?

A STATEMENT OF BIBLICAL THEOLOGY

I cannot express enough the extreme importance of God’s message to mankind. The “Heart” of the message of God’s Holy Word, “the Bible” is this:

  • God wants a personal spiritually intimate relationship with each one of us, because He loves us very dearly (John 16:27).
  • God proved that love by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to take the sins of the world upon Himself and die on “that cross,” Calvary’s tree, and shed His precious blood to offer mankind the free gift of salvation (John 3:16).
  • This sacrificial act of love was completed (“It is finished” John 19:30 NASB), because mankind has been in the state of condemnation since Adam and Eve fell into sin in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3:17-19), and needs redemption; thus breaking the relationship between God and man. No one can come before God the Father EXCEPT through Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

Jesus’ sacrificial act of love bridges the gap of the broken relationship.

    1. Mankind has been denying, rejecting and has an unbelief in God, the theology of condemnation, and refusal of redemption.
    2. Mankind has also refused to believe in the existence of a spiritual warfare between good and evil (Eph. 6): God and Satan.
    3.  Without redemption, each persons soul’s eternal destination will be in the Lake of Fire; which is eternal punishment in the eternal fire
    4. (Matt. 25:46; John 5:29; 2 Thess.1:8-9; Rev. 20:14-15).
    5. If the Lake of Fire was complete annihilation or temporary punishment, then there would be no need of God’s sacrificial love to mankind.
    6. Jesus died on “that cross” because there is a Lake of Fire with eternal judgment in the eternal fire that He wanted to save us from…because He loves us.
    7. If there was no eternal Lake of Fire to save us from, then Jesus died in vain.
  • All mankind is called to understand the following concepts:
    1. In a lost and broken world, each individual needs salvation
    2. A soul’s eternal destination is either heaven or hell
    3. Only through Jesus Christ we can receive salvation as a “free will” choice

The philosophy of Complete Annihilation, temporary punishment or other non-Biblical theology devalues and diminishes what Jesus did on “that Cross!” Until mankind accepts this beautiful act of sacrificial love, he or she will be missing the rich blessings of God’s unfailing love for them: “His compassions never fail” (Lamentations 3:22-23 NASB); and will be missing eternal life in God’s Kingdom.

We believe in the entire council of God’s Holy Scriptures from the front of the book to the back.

God created us first and foremost to be in a RELATIONSHIP with Himself which is why He gave us the ability to “choose” Him by an act of our own free will.

The Fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden caused us to be separated from Him in a way that could only be redeemed by God Himself.  He has extended that redemption to us from a lost and hopeless state through the sacrifice of His Passover “Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world”.

God has made an appointment for us to meet with Him at special times of the year.

Those appointments are found in the Bible and called His Holy Feast Days.

They are prophetic in nature (reveal His plans) as well as informative as to how we should approach God.

Is the Lord the same Yesterday, Today & Forever? Do you believe in Divine Appointments?

We realize and acknowledge that Jesus fulfilled the Spring Feast Days not only to the day but to the very hour.

Dying as the “Passover Lamb” who takes away the sin of the world on the Feast of Passover, not on the day before nor on the day after.

He was crucified at the time of the morning sacrifice, died at the time of the evening sacrifice.

He was in the grave on the “Feast of Unleavened Bread”, and rose on the “Feast of First Fruits”.

First Fruits was a Feast that Israel had been celebrating for over 1,000 years before Christ rose!

It was on the very day of the Feast of Pentecost (Shavuot) that The Holy Spirit was poured out.

Pentecost had also been celebrated for over 1,000 years before the book of Acts was even written.

Israel was required by God to keep the Feast of First Fruits and the Feast of Pentecost back when the Torah was written by Moses! These days symbolized and foretold of the first coming of Jesus!

The word translated as “Feast” does not mean food! The Hebrew word is “Moed” and means an Appointment.

Divine Appointments of God intersecting History to accomplish His will.

They were called Holy “Convocations” which in the Hebrew is “Miqura” which means an “assembly” but also implies a “Dress Rehearsal”.

So for over 1,000 years, the Jews were assembling for the “Spring Feasts” as divine “Dress Rehearsals” for what was to come!

Jesus performed every significant task only on the Divinely Appointed days to the exact hour so when God intersected History we would know it was Him!

If God is the same Yesterday, Today & Forever, He will fulfill the “Fall Feasts” to the day at His Second Coming!

The first of these is the “Feast of Trumpets” when the “Last Trump” is blown to end the ceremony.

This is why we should be watching and waiting expectantly for Jesus’ return as the Bridegroom, to catch His Bride (the Church) away to meet Him in the clouds.

1 Thess. 4: 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Jesus told a parable about 10 virgins, 5 who had “oil” for their lamps and 5 who didn’t.

The ones who didn’t have oil were not ready when He returned.

When the Bridegroom returns which group do you want to belong to?

Stay tuned if you have ears to hear and look up, for your redemption draws near!

Our Coming King צ

(Inspired by Pastor S.D. Lockridge)

– He is:

King of the Jews (racial);

King of Israel (national);

King of all the Ages;

King of Heaven;

King of Glory;

King of Kings the Lord of Lords.

Do you know Him?

Do you really?

A prophet before Moses;

A priest after Melchizedek;

A champion like Joshua;

An offering in place of Isaac;

A king from the line of David;

A wise counselor above Solomon;

A beloved/rejected/exalted son like Joseph.

And yet far more….

The Heavens declare His glory….

And the firmament shows His handiwork…

He who is,

Who was,

And who always will be;

The first and the last

He is the Alpha and Omega

The Aleph and the Tau

The A and the Z;

He is the first fruits of them that slept.

He is the “I Am that I Am”

The voice of the Burning Bush!

the Captain of the Lord’s Host

the conqueror of Jericho

He is enduringly strong;

Entirely sincere;

Eternally steadfast;

he is immortally graceful;

imperially powerful;

impartially merciful;

In Him dwells

The fullness of the Godhead bodily;

The very God of very God.

He is our Kinsman-Redeemer

And He is our Avenger of Blood;

He is our City of Refuge;

Our Performing High Priest,

Our Personal Prophet,

Our Reigning King.

He’s the loftiest idea in Literature;

He’s the highest personality in Philosophy;

He’s the fundamental doctrine of Theology;

He’s the Supreme Problem in “higher criticism”!

He’s the Miracle of the Ages;

The superlative of everything good

We are the beneficiaries of a love letter:

It was written in blood,

On a wooden cross

Erected in Judea

2,000 years ago.

He was crucified on a cross of wood;

Yet He made the hill

On which it stood.

By Him were all things made that were made;

Without Him was not anything made that was made;

By Him are all things held together!

What held Him to that cross?

It wasn’t the nails!

(At any time He could have declared, “I’m out of here!”)

It was His love for you and me.

He was born of a woman

So that we could be born of God;

He humbled Himself

So that we could be lifted up;

He became a servant

So that we could be made co-heirs;

He suffered rejection

So that we could become His friends;

He denied Himself

So that we could freely receive all things;

He gave Himself

So that He could bless us in every way.

He is available to the tempted and the tried;

He blesses the young;

He cleanses the lepers;

He defends the feeble;

He delivers the captives;

He discharges the debtors;

He forgives the sinners;

His Offices are manifold;

His Reign is righteous;

His Promises are sure;

His Goodness is limitless;

His Light is matchless;

His Grace is sufficient;

His Love never changes;

His Mercy is everlasting;

His Word is enough;

His Yoke is easy and His burden is light!

He’s indescribable;

He’s incomprehensible;

He’s irresistible;

He’s invincible!

The Heaven of heavens cannot contain Him;

Man cannot explain Him

The Pharisees couldn’t stand Him and learned that they couldn’t stop Him;

Pilate couldn’t find any fault with Him;

The witnesses couldn’t agree against Him.

Herod couldn’t kill Him, death couldn’t handle Him; the grave couldn’t hold Him!

He has always been and always will be;

He has no predecessor and will have no successor;

You can’t impeach Him and he isn’t going to resign!

His name is above every name;

That at the name of Yeshua

Every knee shall bow

Every tongue shall confess

That Jesus Christ is Lord!

His is the kingdom, the power, and the glory … for ever, and ever.

…..Amen!
